Bedford Police Arrest 2nd Suspect
June 20, 2024
A second suspect was arrested in connection with the June 6 death of 79-year-old Christina Barsanti, Bedford Police announced today. As detectives continued investigating the incident, a City of Bedford News Flash reported that they were able to “obtain a clearer image of the vehicle used in committing the crime.” Using the vehicle information, the News Flash reported they “identified a second person of interest who was found to be connected to the incident as the evidence was processed.”
Detectives said they located the vehicle along with the second suspect, Aaron Pouchie, 26, of Montgomery, Alabama in Jefferson Parrish, Louisiana on Monday, June 10th. Bedford Police said they were acting with the assistance of Louisiana “law enforcement partners.” Pouchie was taken into custody by Jefferson Parrish Sherriff’s Department for unrelated charges on Tuesday, June 11th.
Bedford Detectives stated they “obtained an arrest warrant for Pouchie and formally charged him with capital murder.” In addition, they arranged for the suspect vehicle to be returned to Texas, where it was “fully processed.”
The Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, Bedford Police said, is now working through the extradition process to have Pouchie returned to Texas and placed in the Tarrant County Jail.
Due to the developments in this case, Brandon Paramore, who was originally arrested and charged with the crime, was released from custody, Bedford Police said and noted the case is “still under investigation and detectives are still processing evidence.”
