A two-alarm fire at the 2900 block of Brown Trail on Thursday afternoon is under investigation as “significant damage” has displaced several businesses from the 6,000-square-foot building, the Bedford Fire Department reported. In triple-digit heat, according to the statement, units from Colleyville, Euless, Grapevine, Hurst and North Richland Hills, as well as Bedford Police, assisted with additional “firefighters, apparatus and specialized units.” Other than a Colleyville fire fighter being treated for heat exhaustion, no injuries were reported. The Bedford Fire Department stated the fire was declared under control at 5:45 that afternoon.
