Monday, April 7, 2025
A suspect in “multiple vehicle burglaries” at the Brownstone Apartments, at 400 Pecan Bend, off Brown Trail, just south of Bedford Road, was arrested last Friday, April 4, according to Bedford Police. Bedford Police announced that Kelvin Jerome Simon, 20, of Fort Worth, was apprehended at another apartment complex in Fort Worth with the assistance of the Mid-Cities Task Force and the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Unit.
While investigating the burglaries, Bedford Police said, the male suspect was spotted and, as police attempted to speak with him,” he fled on foot, dropping a backpack as he ran.” The backpack, they stated, contained “stolen property from the burglaries” along with “identifying information” that belonged to the suspect.
Bedford Police said Simon was booked into the City of Hurst Jail and then transferred the Tarrant County Jail.
