Municipal Elections Scheduled for May 3rd

Wednesday, January 15, 2025

Now that the holiday season is over and City Council is back in session, it is time to start thinking again about elections.  Saturday, May 3, was unanimously (7-0) approved by City Council as the date for Bedford’s 2025 election for Council Places 3 and 5.

With their three-year terms on the Council coming to an end this year, Amy Sabol, on Place 3, and Steve Farco, on Place 5, both said they are planning to run for re-election.

Council’s approval includes an estimated $12,500 to contract with Tarrant County to run the balloting, according to the meeting agenda, which has already been set in the City’s budget.

Early voting, the agenda stated, will begin Tuesday, April 22, and continue through Tuesday, April 29 at the Bedford Public Library.  However, Bedford residents can vote at any Tarrant County polling location during the eight-day early voting period.

Election Day voting, on May 3, according to the agenda, will be held at the Pat May Center, at 1849B Central Drive, in Bedford, although again, Bedford residents that day can vote at any Tarrant County polling location.

If necessary, the date for a runoff election would be held Saturday, June 7.
